Citlaly, a student at Weld Central High School who interned at Intermountain Health – Platte Valley Hospital, made the most of her internship by applying her skills. She shared:

“I knew that I wanted to do something in the medical field, but I wasn’t sure what area until I did my internship. I learned that I enjoyed the radiology department. I also learned about the skills needed for a medical career. I have a lot of patience, and I feel like this is a skill needed in the medical field. Another skill that I have is that I am very empathetic. This is also an important skill to have for these kinds of jobs. These two skills benefited me during my internship because they helped me enjoy the time I spent with patients.”
