Weld RE-5J is a growing district in the thriving Milliken and Johnstown communities. We enjoy a rural location with stunning mountain views plus easy access to shops, entertainment venues, recreation opportunities, medical facilities, universities, interstates, and more. The district consists of three elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, and two charter schools. We place a strong emphasis on educating the whole child and inspiring lifelong learners. Our students are empowered to lead their learning and personalize their educational experiences. We work to ensure every student reaches their full potential and is prepared for career and/or college when they graduate from high school.
Because of our commitment to real world learning experiences, Weld RE-5J School District is continuously expanding Career and Technical Education (CTE) opportunities for all students. We believe career curiosity, exploration, and development is a journey that should begin well before traditional CTE programing.
Our pathways are designed to develop the core academic knowledge, Postsecondary & Workforce Readiness (PWR) competencies, and technical skills to enable a seamless transition to further education or employment while preparing all students to meet the challenges of an ever-evolving workforce, economic landscape, and the needs of the local and global communities.
